CAMPERLAB breaks boundaries at htown

CAMPERLAB is the punk-leaning sister label and spin-off of the heritage and experimental brand Camper. A courageous label, that connects radical architectural design with ethical production. Successfully breaking new ground with every collection. The vision is both contradictory and curious, where surrealist textures, bold silhouettes and sustainability meet.

CAMPERLAB x htown Pop-Up

Rooted in the very foundations of what defines Camper, CAMPERLAB invites you to immerse yourself in their unconventional design language. With striking floor to ceiling burnt orange vinyl installation, htown hosts this fashion-forward experimentation space.

Here to unveil their Spring/Summer 2025 collection, CAMPERLAB provides a rebellious mix of colourful fusions. Distorted painted denim, distressed tanks and heavy zippered leather boots, anchored in bold and sculptural forms. This line inspires the wearer to rethink utility, identity and movement. With each new season, CAMPERLAB continues to sharpen its voice and further challenge conventions.

The night kicked off with htown welcoming friends and family of the brand. An exclusive first look at the installation, with drinks by Wonderland Cocktails and G Spot Functional Soft Drinks flowing, conversation buzzed around CAMPERLAB’S ever-evolving identity. The immersive in-store experience remained open for shoppers to browse until March 20 th , 2025.

"Ugly-beautiful"

Established in 2015, and led by Finnish creative director Achilles Ion Gabriel, the brand embraces an interesting conceptual juxtaposition aimed at being “ugly-beautiful”. Notable past collections provide trompe-l'œil patterns for their Spring/Summer 24 line. With raw edges, the collection features intarsia knitwear with deconstructed details. Additional, they focus on pieces designed using sustainable materials like Italian Candiani denim and organic cotton tees, created with minimal water usage.

CAMPERLAB'S Fall/Winter 24 collection saw toe-shaped leather buffed slides, cat-eyed geometric shaped glasses and distorted denim shorts in a captivating concoction of blue, beige and red. We also saw the iconic recycled PET sandals moulded into a bold silhouettes. CAMPERLAB’s vision is not just aesthetic, but ethical and disruptive.

CAMPERLAB x htown After-Party

The celebration moved to the LGBTQ+-friendly venue Bethnal Green Working Men's Club, for a high energy after-party sponsored by Ciroc Vodka. An iconic queer venue, BGWMC first opened in 1953 as a traditional working men's club and then reopened back up in 1970. Spotlighting cabaret, comedy, drag and alternative nights. BGWMC has played host to artists like Björk and Liam Gallager, as well as being a filming location for Netflix's largely successful series, Baby Reindeer.

Despite the venue's popularity, a 'fighting fund' was set up to help protect the community-owned social club after they were given a two-month eviction notice period last summer. With funds raised to keep it open for the time being, unfortunately BGWMC still remains at risk of closure. To donate and help keep this club alive click the link below.

For the after-party, guests turned out in CAMPERLAB spirit, wearing statement looks that merge the lines between clubwear and couture. Sculptural leather, surrealist prints and reimagined denim took centre stage for the evening. The night was a celebration for not only CAMPERLAB’S new collection, but to spotlight individuality, style and the creative spirit that defines London’s fashion scene. Dazed were also giving away tickets to members of their Dazed Club, for their chance to be involved.

The soundtrack of the night included music from an array of DJs, ÇINTH (@dill0ngrace), Broodoo Ramses (@broodooramses, Mina Galán (@mina_galan) and Donnie Sunshine (@donnie_sunshine), who kept the energy high and the crowd moving.

CAMPERLAB isn't just redefining footwear and apparel, it's helping shape a new language of style that is as unapologetic as it is unforgettable. See CAMPERLAB’S 2025 collection at htown below.
